Rules

  1. Who can enter. Anyone living in Nigeria aged 18 or over. One entry per person.
  2. How to enter. Read Le Greffier from this website. Then post a review. On TikTok or Instagram, post it on your own account and tag our account with #WouldYouStaySilent and #LeGreffier. On Facebook, comment your review under the pinned contest post on our Page. You can also paste the link to your review on the page you reach when you finish the book, so we don't miss it.
  3. A valid review is at least 30 words (or 20 seconds of video) and mentions something specific from the book, such as a character, a scene, or the question “Would you stay silent if it kept you safe?”. This shows the person read it.
  4. Entry period. Entries are open now and close Monday, 30 November, 11:59 pm, Lagos time. Reviews posted before the closing time count.
  5. Winners. The three valid entries with the most likes at Wednesday, 2 December, 6:00 pm win. Likes are counted as shown on the entry (TikTok likes, Instagram likes, Facebook reactions). If there is a tie, the entry with more comments wins. If it is still tied, a judge reads both reviews.
  6. Fair play. Buying likes, using fake accounts, or copying another person's review disqualifies the entry. We may check accounts with sudden jumps in likes.
  7. Prizes. The prizes are listed above. We may replace an item with one of similar value. Winners are contacted by direct message and must send delivery details within 3 days. Prizes are delivered within Nigeria. If a winner does not reply, the next entry in line wins.
  8. Permission. By entering, you allow us to share your review with credit, including on this website's Readers' Wall.
  9. Platforms. This contest is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram or TikTok.
  10. Final decision. We may disqualify any entry that breaks these rules. Our decision is final.
